Benefits Specialist with an expertise in qualified 401Kplans, non-qualified 401K plans, qualified defined benefit plans, non-qualified defined benefits plans, active group health insurance, and retirement group health plans.

Facilitated Health, Defined Contribution, and Defined Benefit training for call center employees. Delivered weekly and monthly client reports, and made process recommendations and improvements which enhanced

· Administered group health benefits plan including the group health and pension program.

· Administered all retirement benefit plans.

· Walked active employees and retirees through the retirement process to include coordination with

Medicare, commencing pension benefits, taking employees from active to retirement status

· Tracked and analyzed repeat inbound calls and caller trends and made program recommendations to reduce customer effort.

· Built and maintained reference data base utilizing Total Benefits Administration software for customer service reps enabling them quickly access data and plan provisions.

Key Accomplishment:  Built and maintained a reference database used by customer service reps to assist

customers with their benefits. This was done by extracting requirements information and putting it in easy to

understand terms and format.  Held company training on the new MAP-21 annual funding notice requirements

that are currently in effect.

 

Entergy – Defined Benefits Specialist

· Administered the Retirement pension plans.

· Produced and delivered weekly reports to track progress of implementation and ongoing issues.

· Researched customer issues, and reported on escalated issues to the client for intervention.

· Served as a point of contact for call center pension inquiries and provided clarification for benefit recipients.
